Our wood burning art projects will promote Nevada Academic Content Standard VA:Cr2.8.1 Demonstrate willingness to experiment, innovate, and take risks to pursue ideas, forms, and meanings that emerge in the process of art making or designing. Students will be exposed to a unique form of art and be able to explore a new and innovative way to express themselves. Students will be using the wood burning tool on different types of woods, from wooden rounds to wooden spoons. Students will be able to experience something new and maybe find a hobby that could potentially make them some money as a crafter in the future. Students will be able to show their creative side by creating designs and pictures on the wood.
