What can I say I have the greatest students in the world! Most of them can read but connecting stories to real world situations can be challenging due to lack of background knowledge. These children are our future, and it is our duty to provide them with appropriate tools that will lead them in the path of success. Hopefully, they will soon be able to jump into an adventure beyond their dreams. They love technology, so with a technology equipped class my students will succeed. Magazines about children and real life current events they will be able to make connections. My goal is to spark their interest in reading so that they can feel confident in themselves. Only then will they begin to explore books of choice and interest. At our school magazines and computers are scarce. Most do not even bring the basic supplies of a pencil and paper. Join me in the fight for literacy with the use of technology & current events
