My project will allow students to partner for additional addition and subtraction fluency practice. Students will also, with parental consent, be able to practice fluency at home. Daily one minute fluency drills can be challenging for some due to each child's individual processing time, motor skills and anxiety level. These hands-on-practice sessions that includes flash cards and ten frame answer boards, will encourage confidence and interactive skills building in supportive environments. The goal of the project are to promote parental involvement, increase math skills and teach the student team building and impart of sense of community through peer supported learning. As math fluency improves, so will their confidence!
