Students with behavioral challenges can be unaware of their personal space and the personal space of others. Some students need additional sensory input to help them to be successful. We are working to try to fill these needs with a small motor lab. Motor lab type activities help our students to be aware of their bodies, practice controlling them, provide sensory input and build core strength. A ball pit would be a great addition to our small motor lab. It will provide our students with additional sensory input and allow them to practice self awareness and control. This will help them to be successful, behaviorally and academically, in their classrooms.
