Hurricane Florence brought many tragedies and hardships to the students in my community. On the bright side, she also took many trees that had previously blocked my classroom's view of a salt water marsh, positively brimming with wildlife and nature. My kids love to spend time at the window noting all of the changes taking place in the world right through our window. With a few comfy chairs, a rug, and an end table, they can get comfortable while enjoying the best view, and show, they'll ever see, from their own class "home". I'd like for the kids to spend time looking at nature and center their field of view towards the world outside, instead of the world on a screen. They love flexible seating and work even harder to earn the privileges of special stools and rolling chairs. I know that a small living room would be a perfect addition to our space and a great goal for them to work towards.
