My students are kids who come to school everyday with more than anyone can imagine on their minds. My job is to help them learn that school is a place where they can be seen and heard in a positive way. The students I service are students who have to grow up way too fast for their age. They don't always get to be a kid and see just how wonderful they are and how much the work they do makes them who they are, it's not where they come from, or not what their home life is like. My students deserve to be the masters of their destinations and they don't always get to take a step back and really see the good work they've done.
