This project is all about giving my students every available resource to ensure their success. The limited and outdated technology at my school makes it difficult to utilize the educational programs we have available to us. My students would use these laptops daily for reading instruction and interventions, as well as for researching and drafting book reports, opinion papers, and more. The students' use of RAZ-Kids, iReady, and other programs would also give me more accurate and concrete ways to identify problems, track progress, and instruct my students. Having these laptops would increase student achievement substantially, especially within our large ESL population. With all the educational programs available, and so few computers to go around, I cannot help but feel that my students are missing out on the opportunity to explore their world and expand their learning. Your contribution would give my students the opportunity to become technologically literate and to use technology to increase their chances of success.
