I am a Pre-K teacher at a public urban school. We are a school-wide Title 1 school with 80% of children receiving free-and-reduced lunch. We are a culturally diverse community representing many countries from all over the world. Many of my students have never had a preschool experience, let alone much experience with socializing, play, and toys. Our goal is to have all children kindergarten-ready, academically--but most importantly, socially and emotionally.
