My students need the opportunity to choose flexible seating options. I have so many students that could benefit from getting their wiggles out by simply sitting on a sit disc at their seats, or on the carpet allowing them to focus and pay attention more on the task at hand. We know that when students are able to focus and pay attention with their mind and body, great learning occurs. The sit discs and weighted stability balls will give my students the opportunity to be flexible with their seating choices this year. When children have the opportunity to move while learning they are more engaged in what they are doing. Sitting on sit discs and stability balls will help my students reach their full potential in the classroom. They will help my students focus by moving even the slightest bit. It will help them direct their energy into the discs and balls allowing them work in an easier manner.
