My school serves students that live in a low socioeconomic neighborhood and is receiving Title 1 funding. Due to the limited funding, the school district is unable to provide my students will all the resources they need to maximize their learning experience. I have 18 students of which 13 are currently reading below 2nd grade level. My students are eager to learn and enjoy reading but because of their reading level are still developing. I want to equip them so they are able to read independently. My students should not have to go lacking because of their circumstances. They should have the same academic opportunities as their peers.
