The fourth grade class would like to update our 10-year-old Lego Mindstorms robotics supplies so that inspired students can participate in the SCOE Robotics Challenge in May, 2018. The EV3 sets provide a wealth of learning opportunities and provide a bridge between programming activities and creative concepts, being the perfect mix for STEM/STEAM projects for girls and boys. Ultimately, we would like to have 12 sets total so that more students can participate in the Robotics Club/Challenge, and benefit from the STEM (STEAM to add the Arts) exposure inherent in these kits. We plan to experiment with the data, music, physics, and more capabilities.
