Many children work best in classroom environments that are conducive to open collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. I believe that in order for my students to achieve this kind of learning they need to feel welcome and be allowed to be kids! Flexible seating will allow me to provide the students with choices of different options for them to sit in where they can do their best learning. Your donations will help us create an open, dynamic, and collaborative classroom space that will encourage my students to move around and connect with each other to exchange ideas. Being able to have flexible seating to help get their wiggles out will help them focus better. It is an exciting reward when students are able to get comfortable while doing their work. Even as an adult I struggle to sit through presentations for long periods of time. It is my hope that we can provide students with a kind of seating that allows them to exert their energy in a positive way that promotes a fun style of learning. Each student has a different learning style in the classroom. While learning styles are different, so are the needs of individuals during instruction. In order to meet those needs I would like to offer the best learning environment for my students by providing flexible seating. My students need "wobble chairs", beanbag seats, and soft cushion seats.
