I teach all subjects: L. Arts which includes: Language, Reading and Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, character development, health and art to a wonderful 4th grade class at an urban school in Chicago. This year we have incorporated reading and writing workshop in our class curriculum. This philosophy has the students read and write about what interests them and is based on their own individual levels and needs. I focus on teaching strategies that will help them become successful lifelong readers and writers. This new curriculum puts me in need of some supplies that will help my inspire and motivate my students to their fullest potential.
