Requested materials directly relate to helping students advance their academic learning &/or overall well-being in the light of COVID-19 for the following reasons: Requested bookshelves will be utilized by our Chieftain Virtual Learning Center in order to house the on-site library for virtual learning students that we are building. Many of our virtual students are not comfortable going to the school sites since COVID-19, but are comfortable coming on-site at our virtual learning center. This library will be specifically for our PreK-12th Grade virtual students. It will allow them to check out books for use at home, which will in turn strengthen their love for reading and learning. The IRIS boxes and art materials will be used to create individual art supply boxes for BLS, which is our PreK and K building. The boxes will be utilized for the after school program and will allow for easier sanitization of art supplies. Having an amazing and fun art program is going to strengthen the sweet BLS babies’ overall well-being during pandemic learning.
