The use of technology is a daily activity in my classroom. Mastering difficult concepts and expanding student knowledge of the technological world can be overwhelming and stressful. The brain tools and sensory items will allow students a tactile and quiet way to help them stay focused and calm when problem solving. When students have difficulty mastering a new concept it can become distracting for many of my students. Many of my student have issues focusing, when they lose focus they miss instructions important to the completion of the assignments. By having a brain tool or a sensory item available to them while mastering difficult concepts and problem solving, this will allow students a better opportunity to focus on the task at hand and stay calm. This in turn will decrease disciplinary problems that arise when a student is frustrated and overall increase learning for everyone in the classroom. By donating to our project, you will assist students in improving their ability to focus which will have a positive impact on their academic success. When students spend more time focusing on the assignment at hand, and they do not spend their time frustrated about a problem they can enhance their ability to work with technology. This could then give them the confidence to use new technology in the future.
