The use of computers and technology is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in Reading and Science. Using polling software such as ExamView, StudyIsland, Quizlet, Spellingcity, and Kahoot allows me to see exactly what they are doing in real time, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that I have a limited number of desktop computers and students must double up causing the scoring to be inaccurate. By having these iPads, students will be able to avoid all these problems and focus on increasing their personal learning! By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student skills and vocabulary, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand. Plus, in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
