My students thrive when their needs are being met each day. The project will allow my students to wiggle while being seated. These stools and cushions will give my students the chance to discover what works best fro their body. These seating options can also easily be incorporated into group times on the rug. By increasing opportunities for safe and calming movement my students will stay engaged for longer periods of time. The half moon table will also allow me to give each student in a reading or math small group individualized attention. Our current classroom table is broken and rectangular. The rectangular shape creates dynamics where some students are seated at a classroom proximity to me than others. The half moon shape will create a greater sense of equality for my students.
