The donations for the project will help provide students with the materials needed to build strong readers and writers. StoryWorks Jr. has some skills including close reading, and identifying main ideas and key details in which students will encounter on the PARRC assessment. The standards also align with Common Core Standards. The magazines contains fiction and nonfiction reading material that will help keep my students intrigued and interested. The writing workbooks will allow students to continuously perfect writing skills. They will provide extra support and give students confidence when writing narrative/ expository essays in class and during testing. By donating you will be making a huge difference in students lives and playing an integral role in their success.
