I want my students to be more comfortable while they read. Second graders read longer, and they look so uncomfortable at their desks. I want them to be cozy and WANT to go to the reading nook! I am asking for a couch for two students and a tree book stand to brighten our reading space. I feel making the space more comfortable will entice the students to read more often and for longer durations. Also our room seems so generic--I'm hoping these items will give our learning environment a more open feel.
