I am a first year first grade teacher at a low income school. My goal is to establish the first ever STEM club for first grade. In order to do so, I need two Ozobot bit kits with the accessory packs. These kits include two code-your-own Ozobots. These Ozobots will help my students to work collaboratively while sparking their creativity, problem solving skills, and critical thinking skills. The accessory kits will allow my students to create obstacles for the Ozobots to maneuver! Coming from a Title I school, these students find it difficult to socially interact. The Ozobots will create opportunities for my students to work together to code the robot to move, jump, speed up, and change directions. The club will teach my students about teamwork and perseverance. The robotics club will prepare my students for 21st century skills in digital coding and programming while keeping them engaged! It will provide rich opportunities for my students to show their creativity as they work in collaborative groups to get the ozobot to navigate the map created by the students. Thank you all so much for supporting me on this journey to bring ozobots to my first grade STEM Club!
