Students will join me for two sessions a day to create. Through acrylic paint pours, oil pastels, and watercolors, students will create beautiful art pieces. Students will create small writing samples connecting to vivid description, characterization, children's literacy, poetry, and spoken word. Constructing through creative art and writing gives students an outlet for their voice and thought. Through a social-emotional learning approach, students will find a way to express themselves that includes walking about with some cool supplies to continue their artistic journey after our time together for Summer Acceleration. At the end of this summer school session, students will also gain one full elective credit towards graduation.
