My students are motivated to learn science, but attend an urban school in a suburban neighborhood with dwindling resources. Parents work to support their families and keep them clothed and fed, but extras don't come easy. Our school has reached an API of 802 through the targeted strategies set forth by a hard-working and caring school community. We are battling a decrease in resources as our academic performance increases and we fear that will hinder the progress we have made over the past few years. My students deserve up-to-date materials at their fingertips to continue their forward progress in meeting state and federal academic performance indexes.
