My class is a fantastic group of children made up of regular education students and ESE/special needs students who are mainstreamed into the regular classroom for the majority of the day. Mainstreaming is a great opportunity to promote compassion for their peers even if they are different from you. My students attend a Title 1 school where more than 50% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch based on their family income.
