This DonorsChoose Project requires the purchase of thirty The Other Wes Moore books. Together, my students and I will interact with this novel to gain perspective on income inequality, positive decision making, and personal finance. The goal of reading this book as a class is to encourage my students to consider the essential question, "Does the American Dream remain attainable in the 21st Century?" To culminate the reading of this novel, we will host a class seminar to debate the answer to our essential question "Does the American Dream Remain Obtainable?", which will guide our reading. My hope is that this project will excite my students and help them see the relevance of Civics & Economics in their daily and future lives. Thank you for supporting my students and funding my project!
