My students are enthusiastic investigators of the past and have an unlimited amount of questions about our country, cultures, foreign relations, and economy; however, they are not happy with just taking my word for it. My students want to discover the past for themselves. They enjoy looking through primary sources and engaging in meaningful discussions about history and humanities. Education is important to them which is why they sought out our charter school which maintains high expectations and requires a ton of work. However, our school is just starting out and we need a few basic materials in order to begin investigating. We are focusing our efforts on encouraging students to think critically about their world – both past and present.
