We are a rural school in Oklahoma, with a cross cultural demographic including many Native Americans. Most of the students are enthusiastic and eager to learn and just need a push in the right direction to be put on a path for success. The students are smart and hard working, however, because we are a rural community, the funding is usually not available to allow teachers to give to give that little push. Like all students, mine are our future. If by instilling a love for reading through cooking, and vice versa, we are building a stronger future for ourselves and them.

About my class
