I have 320 Kindergarten through fourth grade students. About half of my school participates in the free and reduced lunch program. We also have a large population of English Language Learners (mostly Spanish speaking). The town is near a big city but many of my students visit downtown for the first time when I take them to the symphony in 3rd grade. Our school is a family. We teach to the whole child, meet students where they are at, and help provide resources to families when they request them. Students love coming to music class. They especially enjoy singing games, instruments playing, and folk dances. Donor's Choose grants have helped me obtain a variety of resources for my students. I am grateful for the support of the Donor's Choose community.
