Providing students with an area that is inviting, comfortable, and cozy will help students get engaged and stay engaged with their reading. No one wants to curl up with a good book in an uncomfortable area. We all want to get lost in our stories. I want to have a classroom that resembles a home so they feel comfortable. Schools are moving towards Reggio inspired classrooms which are open concept classrooms that are student centered. Flexible seating is a huge part of that concept. Allowing students different areas to sit/stand that suit them is key to this new way of learning.

About my class
