These Scholastic Scope Magazines will provide my students with engaging, high-interest nonfiction magazines that incorporate many English/Language Arts standards. Students will receive magazines 8 times throughout the year and will be able to read pieces of nonfiction that are relevant and timely, rather than the dated and non-realistic texts in our textbook. Students love Scholastic Scope Magazines because they have real pictures, interesting articles, and cover a variety of topics. I love that the magazines have clearly defined text features, are aligned with ELA standards, and incorporate many writing opportunities for my 6th graders to continue to develop strong writing and communication skills.
