Flexible seating in the classroom has so many benefits! The flexible seating options that I have chosen for this project have the potential to meet the sensory needs of all my students, especially those that have learning difficulties. Physical activity is linked to better health, improved behavior, and better academic performance - another benefit of flexible seating. These flexible seats allow the students to move, wiggle, bend, and stretch as they learn and engage in the classroom. Flexible seating has also been shown to improve comfort, collaboration, and community. It allows a student choice in the classroom - which allows them some control over their environment. These are just some of the reasons that I would love to provide my students with flexible seating, such as balance balls and comfy floor seats, for this and the coming years! Thank you for your help!
