We are a Title 1 school. Ninety-eight percent of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. The district that we are in only has a 29% high school graduation rate for African American males. One hundred percent of my students are African American. Our school's budget is slim and we do the best that we can with what we have. My students are interested in reading, and are mesmerized during read alouds and shared reading times. I hope to inspire them to become life long readers, and life long learners.
