My students are mostly general education students at a Title 1 Program Improvement School. The majority of our families are considered to be low to low-middle income with many living below the poverty line. Nearly a third of our students speak English as a second language. We have three full time autism classes, a full time program specialist who spends 70% of her day on student academic intervention as well as a resource class for students who needs extra help and volunteers who come read with students several times a week. Most of our students have limited access to the technology many take for granted. They are eager to learn about and explore the world around them. They need modern day technology to prepare them for the new Common Core College and Career Readiness Standards.
