These trikes will be used during daily recess times. My students will learn how to safely ride, and as they do they will be strengthening gross motor skills, hand/eye coordination, control and balance. They will learn turn-taking skills, differentiating right/left and to follow simple commands. Tricycles and bicycles can represent fun, freedom, and fresh air -- everything that's good about being a child! Children of all shapes, sizes, and abilities can learn to ride. Everyone can be successful. Riding a trike/bike is a rite of passage for some children. Cycling can be a healthy pastime that children will never outgrow.
