I am a 3rd grade ELA and Social Studies teacher in Baltimore, MD. I moved to Baltimore from New York in June of 2022. Although my educational background is in music and arts management, I started out my teaching career through a teaching residency and most residencies do not certify teachers in music. At my current school, we do not have any arts instructors, so I use my background in music to teach students music and theater in the after school program. I know the value there is in arts education and how it will help students increase both math and literacy skills. Students will take more pride in their performances, and their hard work and dedication will not go unnoticed. I would love to be able to share their wonderful talents within our community!
