"Play is the highest form of research!"- Albert Einstein. How true! Children in our area often come to school with little exposure to literacy and numeracy skills. However, they do know how to play! They love to imagine, create and get dirty! I try to use that natural curiosity to our advantage and allow them to learn through play. I incorporate Montessori ideals and project based learning into our daily routine all the while taking steps to reach goals set in the Common Core standards.
