I have 22 students in my third grade classroom. Many of my students live in a single-parent home or are raised by grandparents or other guardians with access to limited income and resources. Most of my students lack "worldly experience" and we are often limited to only what we experience in the classroom. Our school is located in a rural area and our community lacks many of the resources necessary to support our students. I strive to provide my students with a quality education so they can become active and productive citizens of the community, but I am limited by the lack of funds.
