My classroom needs a class library! Students will be able to select books that seem interesting from our bookshelf. The leveled books will help build confidence when the children are able to read their selected books. Self selection increases ownership. Students will be able to learn to read while learning responsibility. They will want to read the books they chose but also will want to take care of the books. Books help foster a child's curiosity and varied interests. Kindergarten sets the tone for the rest of the adventure of learning. I hope to inspire life long learners to be excited and love to read! Thank you for helping me build my classroom library!!
