My school is a public K-5 elementary school in Union City, a part of the New Haven Unified School District. Our school is about 35% free or reduced lunch, and about 21% are English Language Learners. I see every class in the entire school once a week for a 40 minute hands-on science lesson. My students love coming to science! I have a strong focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) in my curriculum, where my students use 21st Century Skills such as collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking. My main focus is on introducing my students to as many branches of science as possible with hopes of enticing them to become the innovative scientists and engineers that will create a better future for our world! Any support for our work is greatly appreciated by myself and my budding scientists and engineers!
