My students are brand new to the learning community as eager young kindergarteners. Coming in at the age of 5-6 years old, my students are learning something new every minute of every day. Unfortunately, our school is in a low-income area in the city of Baltimore and we struggle to provide our students with the correct resources. Though they are very eager to learn, they have faced more challenges in their short 5 years of life than many people face in their lifetimes. They come in to our school each day looking for a warm smile, a safe environment, and fun learning opportunities.
