As a librarian and technology teacher, I have the best of two worlds. I get to read about robots and then help to make them. My school is on the boarder of the Central District in Seattle. We have a high free/reduced lunch rate so providing exciting and dynamic teaching opportunities is just as much an equity issue and an important engagement tool.
