Ukuleles are a great tool for developing aural skills in music and allowing the students to engage with an instrument. They can be used as a solo or ensemble instrument and students can sing along as they play. This instrument adapts to many genres of music from all over the world, and most importantly, it is FUN and enjoyable for students. It is so exciting to see children work together in making music as they create and perform. By donating to our project, you can help us achieve our goal of bringing these important instruments into our classroom. Our music room needs ukuleles to build up our instrumentation and allow for students to truly have an enriching musical experience that will strengthen their creativity, confidence and musical ability. In our classroom, students learn so many important musical concepts such as steady beat, rhythm, form, ensemble playing, solo playing and so much more. We will bring these instruments outside of the classroom and perform together using the concepts we've learned!
