I am a behavior specialist. I work with students across my county who struggle with meeting behavioral expectations and regulating their emotions. A group of my fellow behavior specialists and I have started a program to specifically help students who have experienced trauma. We set up "Chill Zones" or "Amygdala Reset Rooms" in low income schools. Then we teach the staff of the school how to use these rooms to help these special students. Our home base is Meadowcreek Elementary, but our hope is to work in every low income school in our county.
