This is my fifth year teaching, but my first year in a certified teaching position. I get to spend five days a week with seventeen five and six year olds. I can only hope to instill a love for learning in their little hearts. Early literacy skills are very important to me as a teacher. I loved reading in elementary school, and my love for reading as a child I would truly have to say happened because of the teachers I had over the years who continued to challenge me as a student. I know that not all students enjoy reading, but I am hopeful that I can show them the importance of it and instill a love for books and reading in them.

About my class
