With your support, we are creating our HUGE Wildcat Lab and Community Garden to inspire our learners to engage in hands on learning, help others, and be confident that they are able to continue on to college and seek out scholarships that will allow them to experience new places and people. The Wildcat Lab and Community Garden (named by students) is a cross-generational, cross-curricular academy learning space and resource to help fight hunger. With 40+ raised veggie beds, orchard with 23 fruit trees, 3 greenhouses, and more than 20 berry bushes. Our students and staff will (1) provide food for students and families, elders, and the others in our surrounding community; (2) foster relationships among students and teachers; (3) provide hands-on project-based learning in the outdoors; and (4) help students realize the opportunities that exist in our animal science and industry pathway.
