I am in need of a classroom rug and easel to support my whole group instruction. Our school is focused on providing best first instruction meaning that when children are first introduced to a topic there are minimized distractions such as transitions or disruptions. A classroom rug will provide a place for my class to come together as a community for instruction, classroom meetings, and other team building activities. Rugs provide a more inviting atmosphere and provide structure for children who have more difficulty attending during whole group instruction. An easel will allow for lessons to be more visual and easier for the children to access from their seats. This also allows information to stay visible for children for longer periods of time. As a new 1st grade teacher I am in need of these supplies to aid in the instruction of my students.
