Approximately 1,600 students attend our high school in grades nine through twelve. We are the only public high school in the county and we serve a wide variety of students. I teach tenth grade students in a non-honors setting. Many are on target with the reading and writing level of their grade, but they struggle with the language and word choice of many of the authors that we study.
