I believe that building a lifelong love of reading is one of our primary responsibilities as teachers. As teachers, we work to help our students find a text, genre, or author they love, but we also want our kids to have a space to curl up and enjoy their book of choice. My students are noticeably more engaged in their learning when they are able to be in a space that is comfortable to them. The rug, pillows, and lamps I selected will help create a more inviting library space. An appealing space paired with the engaging texts in our classroom library will build enthusiasm for reading and digging into a great book.
