Many of my students love reading so I would like to make my classroom a more comfortable physical environment for reading. I am starting with the lamps as there is no natural light in my classroom and only the fluorescent overhead lights which is not ideal for reading. Many students suffer from headaches so the soft lighting will help them feel more comfortable to participate in reading. The baskets will help organize the classroom library by reading level and genre. All students know their reading levels and are able to select books from the classroom library that are challenging yet accessible in their choice of genre.
