Students at Community School for Social Justice amaze and inspire me with their determination and resiliency. The school serves the population of the South Bronx, one of the poorest congressional districts in the nation. Every day, my students overcome incredible obstacles to come to school and keep working towards their dreams. As a school social worker, I am working to support and empower my students to turn those dreams into reality, push them to achieve their highest potential, and encourage them to give back to the school community by helping and inspiring each other.
