I have a class of 25 delightful 3rd graders. They are full of energy, eager to learn, and fun to work with. Our school is working on being a Lighthouse School focusing on Steven Covey's Seven Habits of Highly Effective Kids. We set goals both long term and short term. We are tracking the entire school on Math facts and Reading Minutes. There are rewards and hallway charts to keep us motivated to keep going. I have two students who have been diagnosed ADD and ADHD, two who are dyslexic, a high functioning autistic child, a set of fraternal twins, two children returning from being home-schooled, and three students that struggle to keep up in reading. One of my favorite quotes is from Sam Walton, "We're all working together; that's the secret." The secret is out at Midas Creek 3rd Grade. We are a team, we are committed to all our students succeeding. Our principal is a strong support to all our goals we make.
